Why Keyline exists

Most typing tests give you one large number and leave the rest unexplained. Keyline was built to make comparison clearer: corrected WPM, raw speed, accuracy, consistency and errors are shown separately, with leaderboards split by test duration.

How leaderboard results are handled

The interactive test begins with a server-issued challenge. When a score is submitted, the server recalculates the result from the typed text and elapsed time before saving it. Challenges expire and cannot be ranked twice.

Privacy

No account is required. A submitted leaderboard entry contains the display name you choose, typing metrics, test duration and submission time. Your personal-best label is stored locally in your browser.

Contact and corrections

Keyline is a small independent web project. If a guide is unclear or a score calculation appears wrong, use the project’s Cloudflare deployment contact details or repository contact once published.
